Understanding the Chakras is vital to starting to feel better and live longer. It is a part of ancient Chinese medicine, and is still highly regarded to this day. In fact, it often is as powerful, if not more so, than modern Western medicine and can be used in conjunction.
The ancients discovered the Chakra energy system in the human body early on. It has developed over the years due to ongoing medical research. Endocrinologists agree that major points in the endocrine system match up to the 7 points of the Chakra.
At their basic core, Chakras are basically centers of energy. These centers, or points, control different functions in our body. They relate not only to the physical aspects, but to psychological and emotional functions as well.
The seven points of the Chakra include:
- Base Chakra - At the base of the spine
- Sacral Chakra - Below your belly button
- Solar Plexus Chakra - Center of your diaphragm
- Heart Chakra - Center of your chest
- Throat Chakra - Bottom of your throat
- Brow Chakra - Above and between your eyes
- Crown Chakra - Center of your head
If you pay attention to the imbalances that might be present in your system you can start to take steps that lead to better overall health. It’s important not to get too hung up into thinking that you have to subscribe to a certain religion or thought to correct these imbalances.
